The Charles County Department of Social Services values the guidance, advocacy, and community partnership provided by the Board of Social Services (also known as the Social Services Advisory Board). Appointed by the Charles County Board of Commissioners, the Board serves in an advisory capacity and plays an important role in strengthening the connection between the agency and the community it serves.
Purpose of the Board
The Board advises agency leadership on policies, programs, and matters of local interest affecting residents of Charles County. Members also help raise public awareness of the mission and services of Social Services while promoting customer service, accountability, and responsiveness to the public.
